FBI Director Christopher Wray’s warning Wednesday that China was ramping up an extensive hacking operation geared at taking down the United States’ power grid, oil pipelines and water systems should a conflict over Taiwan occur is “nothing new,” says Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y.
“We know China has been doing this for a long time. Let’s just go back to the spy balloon and numerous other espionage type of actions they’ve taken against us, where the Biden administration has failed to act in a timely or decisive way,” Tenney said Thursday during an appearance on Newsmax’s “Newsline.”
“And so, we continue to have them ignoring this threat from China. We have a president who is highly compromised with China involving his son and all the corruption that we’re seeing, and the potential vulnerability that President Biden has, when it comes to dealing with the Chinese Communist Party payments he received indirectly from Chinese entities that are all coming out of the House Ways and Means Committee,” she added.
